All The Right Answers

By Bobby Burcham.

How happy we were when we first fell in love
I remember what you said when I ask,
“Do you love me as much as I love you?”
You answered, “Yes dear, of course I do.”

When I asked if you could every love anyone else,
I remember well your words to me.
Your answer was, “Oh dear, why do you doubt?
You are the only one who can fill my heart.”

Dear you always gave the right answers,
That caused me to fall so deeply in love with you,
So dear, will you please tell me?
How do I stop loving you?

All those times you got angry,
And threatened to end our relationship,
I ask, “Why? “What did I do?”
You always had the right answers.

And when I asked where were you,
When you didn’t show when you said you would.
I always believed you dear, because,
You always had the right answers,

Dear you always had all the right answers
To calm all my doubts and fears,
So dear, will you please tell me now?
How do I stop loving you?

When you finally confessed,
That you had met someone new,
You was so clear with all your reasons
For falling in love with him.

When you asked wasn’t I happy, that you were happy,
See, you even had the right questions too.
No, I wasn’t like you, I didn’t have the answers.
But you dear always had all the right answers.

Yes, dear, you always had all the right answers,
To why you did all the thing you did, and
Why you didn’t do the things you said you’d do
So tell me, how do I stop loving you?

When I asked for answers to my questions,
Like, “What did I do or didn’t do?”
Or, “What happened between us?”
You had perfect answers every time.

And when I ask you what you saw,
In him that you could not see in me,
Or what he did that I could not do?
You always had all the right answers.

You always had all the right answers
Why you needed to be free from me
You was always clear, so please dear,
Won’t you tell me how to stop loving you?

Dear you always had all the right answer,
So please, please, please, I beg you dear,
You’re the one, who has all the answers,
Why won’t you tell me how to stop loving you?
